Life is hard sometimes. But I've come to learn and believe that God will never give us more than we can bear. Through this blog, I'm going to share the "golden nuggets" of my family.

What are "golden nuggets," you ask? Well, I once had a discipler that would make me share something good or encouraging that God has shown me in His word or done for me during the week. Think of it as a treasure hunter sifting for gold from the sand.

As a teen, my life seemed to be filled with many troubles, but when I took the time to search for those golden nuggets, I came to realize that they weren't that hard to find.


If you return to the Almighty, you will be restored; If you remove unrighteousness far from your tent, and place your gold in the dust, and the gold of Ophir among the stones of the brooks, then the Almighty will be your gold and choice silver to you. For then you will delight in the Almighty, and lift up your face to God. You will pray to Him, and He will hear you; and you will pay your vows. You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you; and light will shine on your ways. When you are cast down, you will speak with confidence and the humble person He will save. He will deliver one who is not innocent, and he will be delivered through the cleanness of your hands. Job 22:23-30

Apple Cider Vinegar

This is a little embarrasing, but I'm going to post it anyway because I think it's important to know. Anyway, I've been having problems with an upset stomach lately and Pepto Bismol, Maalox, Tums, etc. just have not been working for me. So, I decided to go on the internet to find a home remedy cure for it. I forgot what website it was, but it was a forum-like site and people from all over the world would give their natural cures for this problem.

So, several people kept mentioning apple cider vinegar. They suggested taking one tablespoon, straight up. It would burn going to down, but after that, it's instant relief. Well, my problem was really bad last night and I FINALLY decided to give it a try. I have to say that I was too chicken to take it straight up, so I mixed it in with some hot water. After a couple of sips, I instantly felt better.

I just wanted to share this bit of information with you all. I hope you don't have to experience this as often as I do, but if you ever do, give this a try.

GOLDEN NUGGET: Knowing that you don't have to pay a lot of money to cure certain ailments. The little bottle of apple cider vinegar I bought was $1.32! Also, that if you do your research, you can use items you have on hand that are probably better for you than putting unknown chemicals in your body. Just a thought!
