Life is hard sometimes. But I've come to learn and believe that God will never give us more than we can bear. Through this blog, I'm going to share the "golden nuggets" of my family.

What are "golden nuggets," you ask? Well, I once had a discipler that would make me share something good or encouraging that God has shown me in His word or done for me during the week. Think of it as a treasure hunter sifting for gold from the sand.

As a teen, my life seemed to be filled with many troubles, but when I took the time to search for those golden nuggets, I came to realize that they weren't that hard to find.


If you return to the Almighty, you will be restored; If you remove unrighteousness far from your tent, and place your gold in the dust, and the gold of Ophir among the stones of the brooks, then the Almighty will be your gold and choice silver to you. For then you will delight in the Almighty, and lift up your face to God. You will pray to Him, and He will hear you; and you will pay your vows. You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you; and light will shine on your ways. When you are cast down, you will speak with confidence and the humble person He will save. He will deliver one who is not innocent, and he will be delivered through the cleanness of your hands. Job 22:23-30

Kiddie Kwote-Freeze

I was debating on whether to post this one or not, after a day, I decided to just do it because 1) It's Zoey and 2) It wouldn't be funny next year.

My kids love Dora the Explorer and Go Diego Go! On Go Diego Go, there are these two monkeys that cause trouble for Diego, kind of like Swiper on Dora, anyway, when you see these two monkeys, you're supposed to say, "Freeze, Bo Bos!"

So, we were teaching Zoey how to say, "Freeze, Bo Bos!" This is what she ended up saying:

Zoey: "Freeze, Butt!"

She still can't say Bo Bos. So, I think we're going to hold off on teaching her that until she says it the right way. However, I think Juliet is trying to teach her behind my back.
