Life is hard sometimes. But I've come to learn and believe that God will never give us more than we can bear. Through this blog, I'm going to share the "golden nuggets" of my family.

What are "golden nuggets," you ask? Well, I once had a discipler that would make me share something good or encouraging that God has shown me in His word or done for me during the week. Think of it as a treasure hunter sifting for gold from the sand.

As a teen, my life seemed to be filled with many troubles, but when I took the time to search for those golden nuggets, I came to realize that they weren't that hard to find.

If you return to the Almighty, you will be restored; If you remove unrighteousness far from your tent, and place your gold in the dust, and the gold of Ophir among the stones of the brooks, then the Almighty will be your gold and choice silver to you. For then you will delight in the Almighty, and lift up your face to God. You will pray to Him, and He will hear you; and you will pay your vows. You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you; and light will shine on your ways. When you are cast down, you will speak with confidence and the humble person He will save. He will deliver one who is not innocent, and he will be delivered through the cleanness of your hands. Job 22:23-30

Kiddie Kwote-Dadda

Ricky and Juliet like to get rough with each other sometimes. Juliet recently got a pair of Socker Boppers (inflateable boxing gloves) for her birthday and they both just love them. Usually, they get one each and go at each other for a few minutes. But here's what happened yesterday:

Ricky: Here, Juliet, you can wear both of them and then try to hit me.

Juliet puts them on and with a big smile on her face, looks at Ricky and says, "Oh yeah, come to Dadda."

Where in the world did she get that from? I'm telling you, my kids make me chuckle every day.
