GOLDEN NUGGETS: Kids and Fancy Restaurants

Life is hard sometimes. But I've come to learn and believe that God will never give us more than we can bear. Through this blog, I'm going to share the "golden nuggets" of my family.

What are "golden nuggets," you ask? Well, I once had a discipler that would make me share something good or encouraging that God has shown me in His word or done for me during the week. Think of it as a treasure hunter sifting for gold from the sand.

As a teen, my life seemed to be filled with many troubles, but when I took the time to search for those golden nuggets, I came to realize that they weren't that hard to find.

If you return to the Almighty, you will be restored; If you remove unrighteousness far from your tent, and place your gold in the dust, and the gold of Ophir among the stones of the brooks, then the Almighty will be your gold and choice silver to you. For then you will delight in the Almighty, and lift up your face to God. You will pray to Him, and He will hear you; and you will pay your vows. You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you; and light will shine on your ways. When you are cast down, you will speak with confidence and the humble person He will save. He will deliver one who is not innocent, and he will be delivered through the cleanness of your hands. Job 22:23-30

Kids and Fancy Restaurants

Oprah has this section in her magazine called "What I Know For Sure." Well, I have something that I can share. I know for SURE that kids and fancy restaurants do not mix. I know that is common sense, but since it was on someone else's dime, I decided to bring my kids along this past weekend. Let's just say it's a night I will not forget for the rest of my life. I'm short on time, so I'll post more when I get the chance.
